EASTERN
EXPECTATIONS

A VISIT TO NAMIBIA'S
KALAHARI DESERT

GENERAL OVERVIEW

A Safari offering a very full 10 days! The Kalahari Desert has intrigued both explorers and
adventurers for decades, but it had been home to the Bushman, or San people, plus its wide
variety of Fauna and Flora for centuries.
Although a region classified as arid, when it does rain,
the Kalahari turns into an absolute paradise.

This short safari will introduce you to the many facets, faces & activities supported by a desert.
The tour will start at Namibia's International airport, and end there again 10 days later. Besides
the splendour of its scenery and the diverse population of its wildlife, learn how the Kalahari
supports production - with the help of a few dedicated people. Feast your eyes on the various
art-forms created in the heart of the Kalahari.

For the more energetic, an exhilarating and most exciting guided Black Rhino tracking on foot
can be arranged. This safari is also ideal for those who do not wish to spend 80% of their time
in a safari vehicle, but would rather cut down on distances and riding time, in favour of a more
rewarding  footloose exploration and close up contact with nature.

Top off your eastern expectations on the orange-red, linear dunes of the Kalahari. Experience
the gradient colours of a true Kalahari sunset - a memory imprint clearer than a photograph!
