This Honeymoon in Africa - Cupid's African Dream - is offered as 2 options.
Depending on your preferences, you may decide to choose the silence and
seclusion of a desert / semi-desert environment in which to create these ever-
lasting impressions. Alternatively, you may choose the equally tranquil effect
experienced in a water world - no time wasted on pitching and breaking camp

GENERAL INFORMATION

This African Honeymoon safari will depart from Windhoek, Namibia, and end again in Windhoek, 10 days later.

OPTION 1: NAMIB DESERT - Starts along the perimeter of the Khomas Hochland, our
central highlands, and descends into the Namib desert. This Honeymoon safari
covers part of the southern Namib and traverses the central gravel plains. You will visit - and
climb - some of the highest sand dunes in the world at Sossusvlei and marvel at the geologically
historic Sesriem gorge. Your first venue is at a secluded desert abode, followed by two nights
near the world famous Sossusvlei sand dunes and geologically historic Sesriem Gorge. Time is
allowed on this itinerary, should a couple decide on the optional activity of a hot-air balloon flight
over the sand dunes and mountains of the Namib Desert. (At N$3050 per person).

Included activities will be hiking and walking trails in the Namib; swimming; sundowners drives,
as well as desert wildlife viewing - if you are lucky. A total of five nights will be spent at a variety
of venues within the Namib desert, and two nights along the Atlantic coast - where desert meets
ocean. Here you may view German-colonial architecture and browse the shops; experience the
utter desolation of the Moon landscape or stand in awe & respect next to the oldest living plant
specimens on earth - the Welwitschia mirabilis. Add to Nature's warehouse the largest mineral
crystal cluster ever unearthed to date, nestled amid a myriad other Treasures of the Earth. This,
and the many other optional activities available through private operators, might prove that two

OPTION 2: WATER WONDERLAND - Starts at a quiet, rustic camp in northern Namibia
where you may encounter from the smallest antelope in Namibia - the Damara
Dik-dik - to the largest antelope in the world - the Eland - simply by enjoying yourself on one of
the many unguided nature walks on the premises. Your Honeymoon safari is now en-route to a
water wonderland, a sub-tropical riverine forest, so difficult to conceive as part of Namibia - a
predominantly desert country. This idyllic African region of paradise will be your home for the
next five nights.

Activities include nature walks and hikes; swimming; sunset boat cruises along the rivers; wildlife
viewing and Game drives in exclusive nature parks. What could be more romantic than gliding
along an African river in a Mokoro (a canoe, dug out of a tree trunk) with only a poler (punter)
to control the canoe and the slapping sound of water as the bow ploughs the water surface?
Music? Bird calls and the sounds of Africa!

The journey back will be gradual, with a stopover at a brand new mountain guest lodge. Tonight
you have the opportunity to go on a night drive and search out the nocturnal animals of Namibia.
A tranquil stop-over to shorten the driving distance back to Windhoek.

End your African Honeymoon with the last night at a Game Lodge en-route to the airport.
