AFRICA!

AN ACTIVITY FILLED
ADVENTURE SAFARI

An adventure safari designed especially for the true admirer of Nature, those
who do not wish to simply 'visit' Africa, but to truly
experience it!

'Adventure' & 'activity' are debatable terms. With this Nature safari to Africa, we shall leave
interpretation to your discretion, while self-evaluating the elements of the itinerary as you read.

Itinerary-included activities are not extremely strenuous, allowing a wide range of age groups
to participate. However, during the course of the itinerary, a few optional adrenalin activities
are available for those who choose to partake thereof. (The Black Rhino- and desert Elephant
tracking could be an exception, as some of it could be on foot over loose, rocky terrain).

GENERAL OVERVIEW

This safari is guaranteed to run even for a minimum booking of two guests. The safari will start
at Namibia's International airport & end there again either 10, 14 or 21 days later. This choice
is included due to different people having different time frames available to them.

The basic safari will be of 14 days duration with an option to extend it to a 21-day safari. A
further alternative would be to join an existing 21-day activity safari for the last 10 days of the
safari, or simply to book the last 10 days as a "stand-alone" safari - should a safari NOT be in
progress at the desired time of visit. In effect, this safari is thus available as a 10-, 14- or 21
days activity safari -
the choice is yours!

Although this safari is available from January to December each year, intended visits from mid-
July to mid-September
will NOT be considered unless a signed booking form is received at
least 8-12 months in advance. (This being the absolute high season for visitors to Namibia, it
really is impossible to obtain the required accommodation in less than 8-12 months in advance).

During the first 14 days of this activity safari, you will visit two Namibian semi-desert guest
farms, both offering excellent hikes through interesting landscapes with magnificent scenery.
Between these two venues, reach the edge of the escarpment in central Namibia. View one
of the most awe-inspiring and unforgettable scenic views imaginable; for two days a variety
of hikes/walks and drives within the mountains will treat you to breathless Nature scenes and
rock formations, with ample opportunity to encounter a wide variety of wildlife. At Sossusvlei
you will have the opportunity to view and climb some of the highest sand dunes in the world,
experience the subtle colour changes through the entire spectrum of earth tones as the sun rises;
explore the geologically historic Sesriem Gorge before reaching the Namibian Atlantic coast
where desert meets ocean, and you have the opportunity of a wide variety of optional adrenalin
activities
ranging from exciting sand boarding, tandem skydiving, quad biking and paragliding
through Dolphin Cruises, camel rides and horse riding, to fishing trips and experiencing the utter
desolation of the Lunar landscape. Stand with respect next to the oldest, living plant specimens
on earth - the Welwitschia mirabilis.

After 2 days at the coast, returning to Windhoek will end the 14-day safari. Using the option
for an extended 21-day safari, you will, instead, travel along the notorious Skeleton Coast of
Namibia & visit the largest Cape Fur Seal colony on a mainland; join a one day excursion into
the Interior & visit a crater site in part of the last true wilderness areas of Africa - Damaraland;
after your last overnight at the coast, continue along the Skeleton Coast and enter Kaokoland.
The highlight of this extended option is spending - not one day as previously offered, but
two
full days and a night - within this pristine wilderness, tracking the elusive desert Elephants & the
Black Rhino. (This is the only place on earth where the Black Rhino still roams free).

Opting to join or book for the extended part of this safari only, it will start on day 12 at the
Namibian Atlantic coast and continue from there. (A visit to a small lake with the highest dam
wall in Namibia, is also an optional extra that could be included in any of the itineraries. This
venue includes water sports, horse riding, hiking, Game drives and boating).

THE ENTIRE ACTIVITY SAFARI - REGARDLESS OF NUMBER OF DAYS
CHOSEN - WILL BE FULLY ACCOMMODATED, WITH NO CAMPING,

EXCEPT FOR THE ONE NIGHT WHILE TRACKING THE RHINOS!
